Scat Daddy colt heads solid day at OBS Fall Sale

A SON of Coolmore's leading second-season sire Scat Daddy topped the consignor preferred session of the OBS Fall Mixed Sale in Ocala, Florida, on Tuesday when selling for $55,000.

Tom McCrocklin signed the ticket for the weanling colt, who is a half-brother to four winners and out of the Gilded Time mare Placerita.He was sold by Bobby Jones Equine LLC.

The dearest filly of the day was a $52,000 daughter of Majestic Warrior, a leading first-season sire in the US who stands alongside Scat Daddy at Ashford Stud in Kentucky. Foundation Farms purchased filly, consigned by Kaizen Sales.

All told, 119 horses were sold for a total of $1,689,900. The average rose seven per cent to $14,201 while the median leapt 18 per cent to $10,000.
