Qipco 2,000 Guineas (Group 1), 1m, 3yo

CAMELOT (c Montjeu - Tarfah by Kingmambo)

Bred by Sheikh Abdulla Bin Isa Al-Khalifa in Britain

ALTHOUGH Montjeu has produced a triple 7f - 1m Group 1 winner in Australasia in Tavistock, Camelot is the first European Group 1 winner aged three and above over a mile for the stallion, who died earlier this year at Coolmore.

He is one of 25 Group/Grade 1 winners overall by the son of Sadler's Wells. An outstanding performer over 1m4f himself, Montjeu already has three Epsom Derby winners - Motivator, Authorized and Pour Moi - on his record and should Camelot become his fourth next month, the stallion will equal the record held jointly by Sir Peter Teazle, Waxy, Cyllene and Blandford.

Bought by Coolmore for 525,000gns out of the Highclere Stud draft at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, Camelot is out of Dahlia Stakes winner Tarfah and from the further family of Cheshire and Lancashire Oaks winner One Over Parr, a sister to 1974 Oaks heroine Polygamy.

Qatar Bloodstock Jockey Club Stakes (Group 2), 1m4f, 4yo+

AL KAZEEM (4 c Dubawi - Kazeem by Darshaan)

Bred by D J and Mrs Deer in Britain

JOHN Deer's homebred is the 23rd Group winner Darley's Dubawi, who has already sired seven other stakes winners worldwide this year topped by the Dubai World Cup hero Monterosso.

Al Kazeem is the best of three winners and eight foals out of Kazeem, an unplaced sister to the Grade 2-placed miler Treasurer. It is the further family of the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud-winning brothers Glint Of Gold and Diamond Shoal.

Pearl Bloodstock Palace House Stakes (Group 3), 5f

MAYSON (4 c Invincible Spirit - Mayleaf by Pivotal)

Bred by Highfield Farm Llp in Britain

ONE of 52 stakes winners by Invincible Spirit, Mayson is bred on the same Pivotal cross as recent Listed winner Requisition

He is the first - and only reported - foal out of his unraced dam, whose half-brother, Listed winner Bathwick Bear, is by Invincible Spirit's half-brother Kodiac.

Prix Greffulhe (Group 2), 3yo, 1m2f

KESAMPOUR (c King's Best - Kasatana by Hernando)

Bred by H H Aga Khan in France

Kesampour, who narrowly denied Albion (out of dual Champion Stakes heroine Alborada) to take this event, becomes the 25th stakes winner by Darley's Haras du Logis resident King's Best. Of those 25, six have won at Group 1 level including easy Derby winner Workforce and top milers Creachadoir and Proclamation.

Bred on the same King's Best - Nijinsky cross as Oiseau Rare (Gr2) and Simon Du Montfort (Gr3), Kesampour is the first foal out of dual French winner Kasatana, a half-sister to eight winners including Group 2 Prix Kergolay scorer Kassani and Group 3 Prix Minerve winner Kassana, later the dam of Irish St Leger heroine Kastoria.

Qatar Racing Newmarket Stakes (Listed), 1m2f, 3yo

NOBLE MISSION (c Galileo - Kind by Danehill)

Bred by Juddmonte Farms Ltd in Britain

FRANKEL'S brother Noble Mission put himself in the Derby picture with a cosy success over Mariner's Cross (by Dubawi) in this event. Newcomer Michelangelo, a 550,000gns Galileo colt out of a Listed-placed half-sister to Aussie Rules, ran an excellent race on his debut for John Gosden to finish third.

Noble Mission is the third stakes winner from as many foals out of Listed-winning sprinter Kind following Frankel and the Lingfield Derby Trial scorer Bullet Train. Kind is a half-sister to the top-class 1m2f-1m4f performer Powerscourt (by Galileo's sire Sadler's Wells) and out of Lancashire Oaks heroine Rainbow Lake.

Kind has a two-year-old colt by Oasis Dream named Morpheus.
