Thewayyouare shuttles to Windsor Park

CHAMPION French juvenile of 2007 Thewayyouare is to shuttle to Windsor Park Stud in New Zealand for the 2010 southern hemisphere season.

The son of Kingmambo was trained by Andre Fabre for owner Sean Mulryan when winning four races in France as a two-year-old, including theGroup 3 Prix Thomas Bryon and Group 1 Criterium International, both over a mile at Saint-Cloud.

Owing to a back problem he raced only twice at three and at four without winning, coming closest when fourth to Vision D'Etat in the Prix Ganay. Coolmore purchased an interest in the colt after his juvenile season, and he was trained by Aidan O'Brien for his four-year-old campaign.

The second foal of the Sadler's Wells mare Maryinsky, Thewayyouare is a half-brother to Peeping Fawn (by Danehill), a four-time Group 1 winner including the Irish Oaks, she was also second inthe Epsom Oaks and third in the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

Maryinsky is a half-sister to Better Than Honour, dam of Belmont Stakes winners Jazil (Seeking The Gold) and Rags To Riches (A.P. Indy) and US Broodmare of the Year in 2007.

Thewayyouare, who stands for $10,000 in the US, will stand for at Windsor Park for NZ$10,000. He joins Mastercraftsman, Volksraad, Thorn Park, Guillotine and Falkirk on their roster.

Windsor Park manager Nelson Schick said:

"Thewayyouare is a seriously gifted racehorse with exceptional conformation, complemented by a world-class pedigree.

"As a son of Mr Prospector's great champion Kingmambo, out of a Group 1 winning Sadler's Wells mare whose first two foals are champions, I think Thewayyouare is ideally suited to the gene pool and racing conditions in Australasia.

"And being top-class on the racetrack and from the family of Redoute's Choice demonstrates he has inherited the best genes from his wonderful genetic background."
