Literato (grey): first foal by Champion Stakes winner is a colt out of the star producer Rotina

First foals for
Literato and Falco

HARAS de la Reboursiere et de Montaigu welcomed the first known foal by their resident stallion Literato on Tuesday.

The colt is out of the stud's star producer Rotina, whose 11 foals of racing age include Prix Saint-Alary heroine Belle Et Celebre, Group winners Whortleberry, Appel Au Maitre andValentino, and Poule d'Essai des Pouliches third Ysoldina.

Literato retired to stud as the winner of five races including the Champion Stakes and Prix Guillaume d'Ornano. The son of Kendor will stand the upcoming season for €6,000.

Also recently represented by his first foal was Poule d'Essai des Poulains winner Falco. The foal in question was produced on Janaury 10 out of Segesta, a half-sister to Group 1 winner Senex.

Falco stands at Haras d'Etreham for €8,000.
