Richard Brown is latest Golden Bonus winner

THE last Newsells Park Golden Bonus ticket holder is Richard Brown of Blandford Bloodstock, who purchased the stud's son of King's Best out of Atabaa at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October yearling sale last week.

Should that colt go on to win one of the races qualifying for the Racing Post Yearling Bonus scheme or a Class B race in France, Brown will receive a £10,000 prize.

The other Golden Bonus winners were Mark Johnston at Book 1 of Tattersalls October, after he purchased the three-parts brother to Soapy Danger by Green Desert, Eamonn Reilly at the DBS St Leger sale, after he bought a Royal Applause colt out of Statua, and Carlos Laffon-Parias at the Arqana August yearling sale in Deauville, after he bought a Monsun half-sister to Best Name.

Newsells Park general manager Julian Dollar said in a release: "The Golden Bonus was extremely well received as was our best consignment of yearlings to date.

"We would like to thank buyers for their huge support at the sales, those who purchased our horses and indeed those who bid on our horses without success."

Newsells Park enjoyed a cracking set of results at this autumn's yearling sales, finishing up as leading consignor at the St Leger sale and as second leading vendor at Tattersalls Book 1.
