RED ELEMENT, a brother to star Australian racemare Typhoon Tracy, will take up stud duties at Glenlogan Stud in Queensland, Australia, this year.
Typhoon Tracy has won three Group 1 races in the current Australian season, and Red Element is no slouch himself, as a multiple stakes winner and third home in last year's Group 2 Greenslopes Sir Byrne Hart Stakes over 6f.
The siblings are by Red Ransom, who died at Vinery Stud in Australia last year just as his progeny had hit a purple patch, with Typhoon Tracy, Onemorenomore, Duporth and All American winning at Group 1 level in 2009.
Red Element will stand alongside five other stallions, including Falvelon and Show A Heart, at a fee of A$8,000 (£4,900, €5,400).
Glenlogan Park's Jon Haseler told racingandsports.com.au: "We have been actively pursuing a suitable son of Red Ransom to add to our stallion roster for quite some time now.
"To be able to offer breeders one that, in our opinion, has a pedigree better than any other standing in the country is a real coup for both our clients and the farm."
