Grade 3-winning son of Mozart to stud in Canada

REBELLION, who ran second in last year's Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, will stand at Norse Ridge Farm in Ontario, Canada, next season. A first year fee of CAN$3,500 has been set for the 5-year-old son of Mozart.

Rebellion opened his career in the colours of Jumeirah Racing, for whom he won two Lingfield handicaps under the care of Mark Johnston.

Sold for 30,000gns to Chelsea Virginia LLC at the 2006 Tattersalls July Sale, Rebellion was transferred to the US where he went on to capture the Grade 3 Commonwealth Stakes and Grade 3 Ack Ack Handicap for trainer Graham Motion. He was also a fast-finishing second in last season's Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile at Santa Anita.

Bred by Darley, Rebellion is out of Challenge Stakes heroine Last Resort andfrom the family of Trans Island.
