RANGIRANGDOO recorded Pentire's first Australian Group 1 of the season when the six-year-old took the George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.

A son of Be My Guest, Pentire won the King George VI Stakes at Ascot in 1996, having been a close second to Lammtarra the year before.

 

He has sired a top-level winner in New Zealand this season - Mufhasa, who won the Waikato Sprint at Te Rapa and the Telegraph Handicap at Trentham.

Rangirangdoo is a half-brother to usefulHong Kong sprinter Friendly Gains.
