Rangirangdoo: the Group 1 winner is out of a mare by Kenfair

Australian sire Kenfair dies aged 21

KENFAIR, damsire of last month's Group 1 George Ryder Stakes winner Rangirangdoo in Australia, has died of natural causes at Clear Mountain Fairview Stud in Queensland. He was 21.

Bred in New Zealand, Kenfair was a grey son of Kenmare out of the Biscay mare Market Fair, a sister to Golden Slipper winner and late leading Australian sire Marscay.

On the Australian turf he won the Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes and the Group 3 Skyline Stakes at two and the Group 3 VRC Hilton on the Park Stakes at three.

Kenfair retired to stud in New Zealand and moved to Clear Mountain Fairview in 1999.

He is sire of stakes winners Ad Alta, City Fair, Irish Rover, Kengrande, Lady Of The Turf, Leeza, Rocky Point, She's Country and St Kentigern. In total he has been represented by 183 winners of 499 races.

His daughters have produced stakes winners Ilovethiscity, Rangirangdoo and She Rules.
