flow for Witness Box

IT has been an extremely productive couple of weeks for Witness Box, with 15 of the stallion's 19 runners filling the frame in Britain since the turn of the year.

Sunday saw the son of Lyphard pull off an across-the-card double through Caught By Witness at Fakenham and Some Target at Punchestown, and there was more of the same on Wednesday when Railway Dillon and Mic's Delight each landed novice hurdles at Newcastle and Leicester.

Now 24-years-old, Witness Box stands alongside Lahib at The Old Road Stud in County Waterford. He was a tough and talented stayer forSheikh Mohammed and John Gosden, winning eight of 24 starts including the Group 3 Curragh Cup over Vintage Crop.

Witness Box is best known as the sire Gold Cup runner-up Take The Stand while heading his current list of representativesis the exciting novice chaser Wymott.

Railway Dillon, who is from the family of Captain Christy, and Mic's Delight were each winning for the second time in their brief careers.

In beating Global Power by a quarter-of-a-length, Mic's Delight denied a double for Knockhouse Stud resident Subtle Power, who was on the mark earlier in the day through Newcastle scorer Wor Rom.
