Night Magic among Arqana December entries

THIS season's impressive German Oaks heroine Night Magic features in a preview edition of the catalogue for Arqana's December breeding stock sale, which is due to be held from December 5 to 7.

The daughter of Sholokhov, last seen finishing last in the Prix de l'Opera earlier this month, is among 66 pedigrees listed in the preview.

Also included are the Prix Maurice de Gheest winner Porlezza, who will be offered in-foal to recently deceased Anabaa, plus House In Wood, the dam of Alexander Tango, who is carrying to Invincible Spirit, Dame Edith, the dam of Voix Du Nord, believed to be in-foal to Duke Of Marmalade, Dibenoise, the dam of Corre Caminos and carrying to that horse's sire Montjeu, and Silversword, the dam of Grand Prix de Paris hero and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe third Cavalryman.

Another mare in the catalogue who has produced a notable runner is Security Interest, the dam of Norfolk Stakes winner and Middle Park Stakes and Nunthorpe-placed Radiohead.

The €550,000 sale-topper at the 2008 renewal of the sale was Alpine Rose, who went on to win the Prix Jean Romanet this year.

The full catalogue for this year's sale will be published on November 10. Arqana will be laying on a complimentary flight for prospective purchasers from London Stansted airport to Deauville on December 3.
