Rabbah pays 66,000gns for Alhaarth colt at Tatts

THE latest renewal of the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale burst into life two hours into selling when Rabbah Bloodstock struck for an Alhaarth colt from Mountain View Stud.

Rabbah paid 66,000gns for the colt, who had cost his vendors €17,000 at last year's Goffs November Sale. Out of the winning Desert Prince mare Erstwhile, the February-born is a half-brother this season's two-year-old winner Gypsie Queen.

A healthy smattering of trainers and agents are present for this sale, which is the final yearling auction held in Newmarket this year. So far, 42 horses have changed hands in the ring for a total of 392,500gns and an average of 9,355gns.

Bryan Smart paid 42,000gns for a Cadeaux Genereux half-brother to Listed winner Hammadi while a daughter of Oasis Dream from Redgate Bloodstock was bought back for 78,000gns.
