Grade 1 hero In Summation retired

GRADE 1 winner and track-record holder In Summation has been retired to stand at Ocala Stud Farm in Ocala, Florida.

The seven-year-old son of fellow Florida-based sire Put It Back will stand for $4,000.

In Summation retires as the winner of 12 races, including 11 at stakes level, and $1,226,166 in earnings for Waterford Stable. Among his most notable successes was the 2007 Grade 1 Bing Crosby Handicap and Grade 2 Palos Verdes Handicap at Santa Anita, in which he set a track record over 6f.

"In Summation fits the bill of what we look for in a stallion," said Michael O'Farrell Jr., owner of Ocala Stud. "People in Florida know him well. He was an immensely talented and durable racehorse, and we have high hopes for his career as a stallion."

The best northern hemisphere-bred son of Grade 2 winner Put It Back, In Summation is out of the dual-winning Dayjur mare Fiesta Baby and a half-brother to stakes winner Dakota Duke.

He will stand alongside six other stallions at Ocala Stud including last season's leading Florida-based sire Montbrook.
