maiden treble for Darley homebreds

AFTER Oscan's maiden victory in the first at Leicester on Tuesday  Ihsas and then Punita followed up for Darley breeding  in both divisions of the 7f EBF maiden fillies' stakes at Lingfield today. Both winners, as well as Oscan, were bred in the US.

Ihsas, being by Rahy and out of the Argentine-bred mare Express Way, is a sister to the three-time Group 1 winner Rio De La Plata, and is closely related toArgentine 7f two-year-old Grade 1 winner El Expresivo.

The third winner Punita is a daughter of Distorted Humor and out of Indy Five Hundred (A.P. Indy), a Grade 1 winner in the US, and is a half-sister to Ecliptic (Kingmambo), who finished second in the Superlative Stakes (G2) last season.

Punita beat Invasor Girl, a daughter of the Dubai World Cup winner and first-season sire Invasor, who got his first winner in the US this week.
