Purge transferred to Vinery New York

PURGE, a leading second-crop sire in North America, will join Vinery's newly established stallion operation in New York from the stud's Kentucky base in 2011.

Vinery recently expand its stallion business into New York by taking over the management of Empire Stud, where it already stood sires Posse and Repent.

Purge, a Grade 1-winning son of Pulpit, is sire of Venezuelan Grade 1 scorer Dixie Emperor and US Listed winner Macias.

Vinery president Tom Ludt said:  "We think Purge will be well received with New York breeders.

"He’s in the top of his crop in every category, is a son of  emerging sire of sires Pulpit, and on top of that he’s a very attractive individual."
