Proud Tower Too returns to the breeding shed

DUAL Grade 1 winner Proud Tower Too will stand at Tricar Farms in New Mexico in 2009. The seven-year-old son of Proud Irish was retired to Tommy Town Thoroughbreds in California last year, but returned to training in the autumn.

He won the 7f  Malibu Stakes (Gr1) at Santa Anita in December 2005, and the 6f Dubai Golden Shaheen (Gr1) three months later. In total, he earned over $1.7 million in prize money.

His connections had been preparing him for another crack atthe Golden Shaheen over the last few months, but a recurrence of a tendon injury forced them to retire him.

Proud Tower Too will stand at a private fee this year, with his connections hoping that he will return to a stud in Californiain 2010.
