Oklahoma stallion Evansville Slew dead
EVANSVILLE Slew, a leading sire in Oklahoma, was put down on Thursday after complications from colic at Diamond G Ranch in Oklahoma.
The 20-year-old son of Slew City Slew sired 33 stakes winners from 14 crops of racing age including Grade 2 winner March Magic and Grade 3 winnerRancour.
Evansville Slew won five of seven starts in two seasons, including the 1994 Grade 2 Arlington-Washington Futurity. He stood at Walmac Farm and Buck Pond Farm in Kentucky prior to relocating to Oklahoma.
