Prominent Kentucky breeder Justice dies
FRANK Justice, a Lexington businessman who owned Dell Ridge Farm in Kentucky with his wife Mattie, died on Saturday at the age of 79.
A host of high-class horses were raised on Dell Ridge, which was establishedin 1998, including multiple Grade 1 winner Shakespeare whom he campaigned with William Schettine, and the 2011 Grade 1 Carter Handicap hero Morning Line.
He also enjoyed success with the former Aidan O'Brien inmates Della Francesca and Wiseman's Ferry, both of whom became Graded stakes winners in the US, and bred a trio of Japanese millionaires in La Verita, Victory Tetsumi and Trillion Cut.
Justice is survived by his wife, sons Frank D. Justice II and Jason Ledford Justice, and daughters Bridget Justice and Karla Corbin.
