Producer, colt by
Dutch Art, wins again

THE Richard Hannon-trained Producer won his second start from three runs when picking up the opening nursery at Epsom today.

The colt out of River Saint was bought by Sackville Donald at the DBS Breeze-Up for £28,000. The colt also went through the ring as a yearling when sold by Ross Marshall for €14,000 by Mount Eaton andas foal - he was bought then by BBA Ireland for 5,000gns and sold by Cheveley Park Stud.

The horse, who was reported by jockey Jimmy Fortune in July to be "a fine big horse with plenty of scope in him", won today by two and a half lengths from Always Ends Well.

Producer is a half-brother to the eight-time winner Kabis Amigos and the four-time winner Font, and is out of River Saint. She is an Irish River half-sister to the talented Serena's Song, a 18-time winner in the US, whose wins included 11 Grade 1 successes.
