Pour Moi to emulate sire at Windsor Park Stud

DERBY winner Pour Moi is to emulate his late sire Montjeu by standing the southern hemisphere season at WIndsor Park Stud in New Zealand.

Windsor Park proprietor Nelson Schick said:  His Derby effort clinched it for us. While his form leading into Epsom was impressive, his performance to win in that company, in that manner, demonstrates a level of talent that is rarely seen".

Injury forced Pour Moi into retirement after the Derby and Shick added: "It is a real shame the racing public were denied the opportunity to see Pour Moi in action in the Arc given his Derby win provided us all with a glimpse of just how much raw talent he possessed.

"And after we inspected him and saw his class andstrength we could understand why he was so highly regarded. So I am delighted we have been able to secure him for the New Zealand breeding industry".

Around 25 per cent of Montjeu's 100 stakes winners were sired at Windsor Park.
