Popular Dream Ahead has first mares in foal

THE latest first season sire to have his first mare scanned in foal is Ballylinch Stud's Dream Ahead.

The son of Diktat has had two mares confirmed in foal, namely the Listed winner Shizao, an Alzao daughter of Group 3-winning mare Shigeru Summit, and the maiden mare, Chinese Wall, a daughter of Aussie Rules who won the Prix de la Vallee d'Auge as a two-year-old at Deauville.

Dream Ahead was rated the joint European champion two-year-old of 2010 with Frankel following wide-margin victories in the Prix Morny and Middle Park Stakes. He returned at three to dominate the sprint division with victories in the July Cup, Betfred Sprint Cup and Prix de la Foret to hand him Cartier champion sprinter honours.

Dream Ahead is standing his first season at a fee of €17,500 and is fully booked for 2012.
