POET'S VOICE (3 c Dubawi - Bright Tiara by Chief's Crown)

Breeder: Darley

LEADING young sire Dubawi recorded his ninth European Group winner on Saturday afternoon when Poet's Voice sauntered to success in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood.

The Saeed bin Suroor-trained colt became Dubawi's second stakes winner last year when taking the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster. Since then, no fewer than 11 stakes winners worldwide have followed for the stallion, including the brilliant miler Makfi, South African Group 1 winner Happy Archer and the Prix Robert Papin winner Irish Field.

Dual Group 1-winning miler Dubawi, who is one of just 56 foals from the sole crop of Dubai Millennium, stood the past season at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket.

Bred on the sameDanzig cross as Makfi (out of a Green Desert mare) and Listed winner Golden Millennium (out of an Eagle Eyed mare), Poet's Voice was bred by Darley out of minor winner Bright Tiara. The daughter of Chief's Crown is a sister to Grade 1 winner and sire Chief Honcho and the dam of five other winners including the multiple Japanese stakes winner Gold Tiara, a daughter of Dubawi's grandsire Seeking The Gold.

Another daughter, minor stakes winner Queen's Park (by Relaunch), is the dam of the Grade 1-placed Gemswick Park.

Bright Tiara has a two-year-old sister to Poet's Voice named Patroness.
