Pleasantly Perfect colt tops Washington sale
A SON of multiple Grade 1 winner Pleasantly Perfect, who was bred by the late Edward 'Ned' Evans, topped the Pegasus Thoroughbreds Sale of Two-year-olds in Training in Washington on Tuesday when selling for $125,000.

A daughter of Songandaprayer and stakes winner Glitter Star brought the second highest price when selling for $97,000 to Glen Todd while trainer Eoin Harty snapped up a first-crop daughter of Divine Park for $95,000.
Tuesday's auction was the second renewal of the sale, which was established by Dr. Mark Dedomenico and Glen Todd and comprises two-year-olds selected to be sold under the Pegasus Thoroughbreds banner.
Of the 26 horses offered, 17 were listed as changing hands for a total of $876,000, up 38 per cent from 2011. The average of $51,529 also represented an increase of 38 per cent.
