Premium Tap to
stud in Saudi Arabia

GRADE 1 winner Premium Tap, who ran second to Invasor in the 2007 Dubai World Cup, will stand the 2009 season at King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz's Janadria Farm near Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The seven-year-old son of Pleasant Tap will stand alongside multiple Grade 3 winner Dynever, Listed Heron Stakes winner Torrey Canyon and Frequent, a son of Mr Prospector.

Premium Tap was acquired by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz following his seven length success in the Grade 1 Clark Handicap at Churchill Downs. Prior to that, he had landed the Grade 1 Woodward Stakes at Saratoga and finished third to Invasor in the Breeders' Cup Classic.

He went on to become a dual champion for his new owners in Saudi Arabia, capturing the Custodian ofthe Two Holy Mosques Cup and Crown Prince Cup. He retires as the winner of over $2.5m in earnings.

Bred by Machmer Hall and Will Farish in the US, Premium Tap is one of four winners out of the unraced Thirty Six Red mare Premium Red and from the family of Grade 1 winners Tight Spot and Valiant Nature.

A half-brother to Premium Tap, by Reformer Rally, is scheduled to sell as lot 52 at Tuesday's OBS Selected Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale in Ocala, Florida.
