Sariska booked to
Galileo for first covering

LAST season's dual Oaks winner Sariska has been booked to champion sire Galileo for her first covering. The daughter of Pivotal was retired in September this year after refusing to race in the Qatar Prix Vermeille.

Owner Lady Bamford's adviser Hugo Lascelles said: "She's back at Daylesford Stud and she's very well. She's going to Galileo. He's the best, so we're taking a positive view on her."

Sariska was bred by Lady Bamford and is out of the Muhtarram mare Maycocks Bay, and the Pivotal cross that produced her will be repeated for the first time next year. "She'll go to Pivotal," said Lascelles. "She's not in foal and she has a Dansili colt at her side who Lady Bamford is very pleased with."

Maycocks Bay has a two-year-old son of Cape Cross named Rishikesh with Sariska's trainer Michael Bell who holds a Derby entry.
