Pivotal heads Cheveley Park roster at £45,000

PIVOTAL will once again head the Cheveley Park Stud roster next season at £45,000, the same figure that he commanded in 2012.

The stud's stalwart, who is rising 20, has enjoyed another productive year thanks to the exploits of Pretty Polly Stakes heroine Izzi Top and progressive, high-class sprinter Maarek among others.

His daughters have also fared well, producing the likes of runaway  July Cup hero Mayson, who will stand his first season at Cheveley Park Stud for £8,000. In addition to the July Cup, Mayson was also successful in the Palace House Stakes and was narrowly denied in the Prix de l'Abbaye.

Dutch Art rises to £18,000 from £12,000 after building on a successful season with his first runners in 2011. He has sired the winners of over £1 million in prize-money in Europe this season, among them the German 2,000 Guineas scorer Caspar Netscher.

Dutch Art's sire Medicean has also been handed a fee increase, in his case to £10,000 following a season in which he was responsible for Group 1 winners Bayrir, Capponi and Siyouma.
