Sour victory is sweet for Kingmambo sire line

PISCO SOUR, the horse with an international background, ensured a stakes race double for Kingmambo-line stallions following the Prix Eugene Adam success of Family One, by Dubai Destination.

Pisco Sour is by Lemon Drop Kid, who stands at Lane's  End in Kentucky at a fee of $35,000. He is  out of Lynnwood Chase, a daughter of South African sire Horse Chestnut - a son of the Sadler's Wells stallion Fort Wood - and a half-sister to Group 2 Jebel Hatta winner Lord Admiral.

Bred by Hascombe Stud, Pisco Sour, who is a brother to talented hurdler Ultravox,  was bought by Amanda Skiffington on behalf of owner Michael Kerr-Dineen for 100,000gns at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October yearling sale.

Lynwood Chase, a €140,000 Deauville yearling, has a foal by Lemon Drop Kid and was covered again by him this year but is barren.
