Petionville switched to stand in Pennsylvania

STALWART Kentucky sire Petionville has been transferred from Margaux Farms to Penn Ridge Farms in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, next year.

The 19-year-old son of Seeking The Gold will stand alongside Cat Thief, Eurosilver and Monba at Penn Ridge.

Petionville's stud fee, which wil be annouced in the coming weeks, will include concessions for Pennsylvania-bred mares.

Petionville is sire of 41 stakes winners headed by triple Grade 1 scorer Island Fashion and Group 2 Godolphin Mile victor Two Step Salsa.

Michael Jester of Penn Ridge Farmsaid: "Petionville is a proven sire both in the sale ring and on the racetrack. He has sired two session-toppers at Keeneland for $900,000 and $250,000 and he is perhaps Seeking the Gold's best son at stud."
