Name change to include son in top agency team

PETER DOYLE BLOODSTOCK will now operate under the name Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock.

The agency was established in 1978 by Peter Doyle with his wife Anna and has just launched a new website, doyleracing.com.

Peter is the son of the late Jack Doyle, a renowned bloodstock agent whose purchases included St Leger winner Bruni and champion sprinter Sandford Lad.

Ross is the third generation and has worked full-time in the family business since 2001.

They have a particularly strong relationship with the Richard Hannon stable, where recent Group 1-winning purchases Paco Boy, Canford Cliffs and Dick Turpin have been trained. They are best known as buyers of yearlings and breeze-up horses, with Elusive Wave, Emerald Commander, King Torus, Zebedee and Strong Suit among other recent notable purchases.

Peter Doyle said: “It does not reflect any change to the way we are working. It is Ross’s strong contribution to the business over recent years which we feel warrants a name change.”

Ross commented: “I learned a huge amount from my parents and from working closelywith the Hannons. From day one I learned that you have to be extremely strict on conformation.

"You need a good-looking horse with a good walk and you try to bring something else to the table too, you try to find a horse that youwould be happy to spend your own money on.”
