Perfect Shirl: the daughter of Perfect Soul wins the BC Filly & Mare Turf

Perfect Soul to stand in Ontario for 2012

PERFECT SOUL, the sire of 2011 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf winner Perfect Shirl, will stand the 2012 breeding season at the Hunderup family’s Norse Ridge Farm, near King City, Ontario in Canada.

Richard Hogan of RGH Bloodstock  reports that Perfect Soul's 2012 fee will be CAN$7,500, payable when foal stands and nurses. 

A winner  of the  Grade 1 Shadwell Mile Stakes, Perfect Soul, a son of Sadler's Wells, won the Grade 2 Maker’s Mark Mile before retiring to Darby Dan Farm, Lexington with seven race wins and nine graded stakes victories or placings to his name from 21 lifetime starts.

His progeny has already won more than $6.7 million (over $3.1  million in 2011) and includes the 2011 Breeders’ Cup winner Perfect Shirl, Canadian Classic winner Perfect Shower and the multiple Woodbine stakes winner Check Your Soul. 

Perfect Soul will be available for viewing at Darby Dan Farm through Keeneland's November Sale. He will ship to Canada later in November and then can be seen at Norse Ridge Farm.
