HarbingerHarbinger: the 2010 world champion at the Shadai Stallion Station in Japan  PICTURE: J. Fukuda

Harbinger's dam booked for return to Dansili

HARBINGER’S dam Penang Pearl will again visit the world champion’s sire Dansili this year.

The 15-year-old daughter of Prix du Jockey Club winner Bering is boarded at Ashbrittle Stud in Somerset and had a second appointment with the leading Juddmonte stallion last year, but returned not in foal.

Granted a successful covering this year, her 2012 foal will produce a first brother or sister to Harbinger.

Last year’s yearling out of Penang Pearl, a Zamindar colt, was bought back for 50,000gns at the Tattersalls October Sale and has since been sold privately to race in Japan, while her 2010 foal, a Manduro filly, is to be retained to race by her owner-breeder Nick Ooi.
