Dai Jin sold to continue stud career in Turkey

GERMAN stallion Dai Jin, best known for his high-class son Liang Kay, has been sold to continue his stud career in Turkey.

The 11-year-old son of Peintre Celebre had stood at Gestut Zoppenbroich since his retirement in 2004, the year after he won the Deutsches Derby and Rheinland-Pokal, until this year when he was transferred to Gestut Erftmuhle.

As well as Liang Kay, winner of the Group 2 Oppenheim-Union-Rennen and a pair of Baden-Baden Group 3 contests, Dai Jin is also responsible for German Group3 winners Budai, Caro Jina and Norderney.

Dai Jin was bred by Gestut Schlenderhan out of the winning Shirley Heights mare Dawlah, a half-sister to the dam of Derby Italiano winner and Lockinge runner-up Worthadd and a daughter of Kentucky Oaks heroine White Star Line.
