Paul Bittar named new chief executive at BHA

PAUL BITTAR has been confirmed as the new chief executive at the BHA, filling the hole left when Nic Coward stepped down in March.

Bittar, an Australian who worked on commercial projects for the BHB in 2004 and is the chief strategy officier at Racing Victoria, is set to start in his new role in January.

The BHA nominations committee of Paul Roy, Ian Barlow and Paul Dixon had identified Bittar as the outstanding candidate for the position last week.
