Ben Lawrence, Patinack's stud manager, said: "The decision to reduce the mare numbers has been thought through carefully with some quality mares among them.

"All being offered are in-foal to our very own quaity young stallions including the current leading first-season sire in Australia, Husson."

Among the draft are two mares in foal to dual French Classic hero Lope De Vega, who shuttles between Ballylinch Stud and Patinack Farm.

They are Festinate, a daughter of Testa Rossa from the family of dual Group 1 winer Saleous, and Automated Response, an Al Maher half-sister to stakes-scorer Follow The Till.

Resultant foals will be eligible for the lucrative Patinack Farm A$1 million bonus scheme.

Patinack will offer another draft of mares in March.
