First winner from his first runner for Teofilo

AFTER all the positive vibes that surrounded his first crop of sales yearlings, Teofilo made his mark on the racecourse with a first winner from his first runner.

Appropriately, Parish Hall, the tidy winner of the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden at Leopardstown, is trained by Jim Bolger and runs in the familycolours that Teofilo carried to victory in the 2006 Dewhurst Stakes, his final race.

The son of Galileo, who stands at Kildangan Stud, started his career at a fee of €40,000, but this year will stand at €15,000.

Of his first crop of yearlings, 53 were offered in Europe with 47 of them selling at a rate of 89%.  His overall average was 96,396gns, with little disparity between the colts (99,670gns) and the fillies (92,676).
