Daughter of Petrushka looks smart prospect

PADMINI, the fourth foal out of Irish Oaksheroine Petrushka, made a pleasing start to her racing career when closing late to deny Mirabella in the 7f maiden at Lingfield.

The daughter of Tiger Hill, who was bred by Darley and is owned by Godolphin, is a half-sister to minor winner Hall Of Fame.

Her dam, Petrushka, was acquired by Sheikh Mohammed followinga brilliant career for Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, in which she won the Irish and Yorkshire Oaks and Prix de l'Opera.

She also ran fourth to Lahan as the 6/4 favourite in the 1,000 Guineas following an impressive four-length victory in the Nell Gwyn Stakes.

The daughter of Unfuwain, who is closely related to Spectrum, has a yearling colt by Monsun.
