Overdose: will his half-sisters emulate the 'Budapest Bullet's' success?

Another Overdose half-sister off the mark

POPPET'S TREASURE became the second half-sister to Hungarian sprint sensation Overdose to break her maiden in four days when scoring a narrow victory on her debut in the 6½f maiden that opened the card at Deauville today.

The two-year-old daughter of Dansili's success came hot on the heels of the first win for her year-older half-sister by Lomitas, Poppet's Lovein, in a 7f maiden at Chepstow on Thursday evening.

Both Poppet's Treasure, who is trained in Chantilly by Rupert Pritchard-Gordon, and Poppet's Lovein, trained near Bath by Andy Haynes, are owned by Graham and Di Robinson, who bred the pair out of their mare Our Poppet.

The 12-year-old unraced daughter of Warning also produced Overdose, whom the Robinsons sold as a yearling for 2,000gns, as well as winners Noble Mount, Poppet's Bounty and Poppets Sweetlove.

Our Poppet has a yearling filly by Bertolini, who is catalogued in Book 2 of the Tattersalls October yearling sale, and a filly foal by Clodovil. She was scanned in foal to Exceed And Excel in April.
