Mount Nelson fee
set at £10,000

DUAL Group 1 winner Mount Nelson will stand his first season next year at a fee of £10,000. The son of Rock Of Gibraltar, who was triumphant in this season's Eclipse Stakes, was retired to Newsells Park Stud last month.

"Mount Nelson was one of the top juveniles of his generation and as the only Group 1 winning two-year-old from the Danehill sire line standing in the UK, he has some outstanding qualities," said Julian Dollar, manager of Newsells Park Stud.

"We appreciate that Newsells Park Stud is a new operation coming into the stallion market during a time of significant economic uncertainty. Our goal is to offer the very best service we can to breeders and to support Mount Nelson very strongly, both with our own broodmare band and at the sales and on the racecourse.

Italian Derby hero Osorio will stand his second season at the Royston-based stud for £1,750. The son of Surumu will be represented by his first crop of two-year-olds next season.
