Osarus release increased September catalogue

A CARLOTAMIX filly out of a half-sister to 2,000 Guineas runner-up French Fifteen is one of the highlights of this year's Osarus September Yearling Sale at La Teste de Buch on Thursday September 13.

A total of 160 yearlings have been selected for the sale, an increase of ten per cent from 2011, from a group of 662 yearlings who were inspected throughout the spring by Guy Blasco-Gondard and Emmanuel Viaud.

Other highlights include a filly from the first crop of Soldier Of Fortune, who is out of a half-sister to Group 1 winners Baila Me and Be Fabulous.

Carlotamix is also the sire of close relations to French 2,000 Guineas winner Tin Horse and Group 1-winning two-year-old Charges d'Affaires.

Kheleyf is the sire of a filly out of a half-sister to top American filly Asi Siempre.

Last year's sale saw 91 of 135 yearlings offered (67 per cent) sell for just shy of €1 million and an average of €10,879. Trade was topped by an Indian Rocket colt who was sold by Haras de Grandcamp to Frederic Rossi for €48,000.
