O'Neill secures Beneficial mare for £125,000

Jonjo O'Neill was the second person to hit six figures at
Brightwells' Cheltenham sale on Wednesday.

He paid £125,000 for the five-year-old mare Fiddlededee, winner of a point-to-point in March and a Tipperary bumper last week for her owner/trainer/breeder Gerard Quirk.

She was bought for an existing owner at O'Neill's Jackdaws Castle stable and the trainer said: "I saw her win her bumper and she looks a nice mare.

"She'll have a holiday now and we'll findout how good she is next season. There's a good programme for mares now and she'll be aimed at that."
