Ludlow: cheap buy Ocean takes Henley Hall

LUDLOW winner Ocean Transit took her career record to eight wins on Wednesday - not bad for a 2,000gns purchase.

The six-year-old daughter of Trans Island was bought by trainer David Evans at the DBS October Yearling sale, and won five races on the Flat.This latest win, in the Henley Hall Gold Cup, is her third over hurdles and takes her career earnings to over £45,000.

By Trans Island, Ocean Transit is a half-sister to Titus Awarded, who was Listed-placed in Italy last year, and to minor Flat winners Her Courtesy and Leonor De Soto.

Their dam, Wings Awarded by Shareef Dancer, also produced selling hurdle winner Frambo.
