Tuesday's session-topper was a $100,000 yearling colt by last year's leading first-season sire in North America, Congrats. From the family of stakes winners Miss Angel T and Profit Option, he was bought by an entity only known by the initials FHMB.
The first horsethrough the ring was Magical Masquerade, the dam of Coolmore's $16 million Fasig-Tipton Calder two-year-old buy The Green Monkey - subsequently a flop on the racetrack.
Whereas The Green Monkey sold for eight figures, his dam, offeredin foal to Tiz Wonderful, was bought for only four, to Hartley DeRenzo at $9,000. Hartley DeRenzo sold and now stand The Green Monkey.
