A LAWYER Ron colt out of dual Grade 1 winner Jostle (lot 14) is among the highlights of this year's OBS August Yearling Sale in Florida on August 23 - 25, for which 772 lots have been catalogued.

The colt, who is from the second crop of his late Grade 1-winning sire, was a $25,000 foal purchase at last year's Keeneland November Sale by Glencrest Farm.

Other stand-outs on paper include a half-sister to Grade 1-winning juvenile and Kentucky Derby also-ran Comma To The Top (30), who is from the first crop of Grade 3 winner Belgravia, and an Any Given Saturday half-sister to Grade 1 winner Trust N Luck (135).

The year's sale will kick off with a single select session of 172 yearlings which will be followed by two days of open selling for a further 600 yearlings.

Last year's buoyant renewal was topped by filly from the first crop of Darley's Any Given Saturday who sold for $280,000 to Phil Lebherz. At the select session, the average rose eight per cent to $35,697 while the open session saw 478 horses sell for an average of$8,818, which was up 26 per cent from 2010.
