O'Brien saddles first Navigator runner

THE debut of Infanta Branca, the first ever runner by Anglo-Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Henrythenavigator, is one of the highlights of today's card at Cork.

Aidan O'Brien's entry faces nine other fillies in the 5f juvenile maiden, which is due off at 3.25. Bred by Strategy Bloodstock, Infanta Branca is the 12th foal out of her Grade 3-winning dam, Totemic, and a half-sister to US Grade 2 winner Lil's Lad and Cherokee, who won the Group 3 Go and Go Round Tower Stakes on her debut for O'Brien in September 2004.

Henrythenavigator, a four-time Group 1 winner by Kingmambo, stands at Ashford Stud in Kentucky for $25,000.

Elsewhere, Mick Channon saddles two first-crop runners by St Leger winner Sixties Icon in Chilworth Icon (Kempton) and Rated (Musselburgh). Channon saddled another by the stallion, Vanessa, to run third at Redcar on Monday.
