Aqlaam has first mares scanned in foal

LAST year's Prix du Moulin winner Aqlaam has had his first mares scanned in foal from his initial book of mares at Shadwell's Nunnery Stud in Norfolk.

One of his first in-foal mares is Hidden Meaning, dam of Listed winner and Group 2-placed Senor Mirasol.

The list of seven positive scans also includes Zarkavean, a Medicean sister to Group 3 winner Emily Bronte and to the dam of Cherry Hinton Stakes runner-up Pearl Grey.

Aqlaam, one of the first sons of young sire sensation Oasis Dream to retire to stud, won the Jersey Stakes at three and the Summer Mile Stakes andPrix du Moulin at four.

His fee at Nunnery Stud this year is £7,000
