Oasis Dream date for top German filly Enora

JUDDMONTE stallion Oasis Dream has been chosen as the first sire to cover last year’s Preis der Diana winner Enora.

The Torsten Mundry-trained Enora showed a tremendous turn of foot to cut downher distant relative Elle Shadow and win the German equivalent of the Oaks at Düsseldorf last August.

Enora disappointed behind Midday on her subsequent start in the Prix Vermeille and the decision was taken by her owner-breeders Gestüt Röttgen to retire her to their broodmare band.

Enora is by Noverre and out of Premio Lydia Tesio runner-up Enrica, making her a half-sister to Group 2 winner and Group 1 runner-up Egerton. She is a member of the highflying German ‘E’ dynasty that has yielded Group 1 winners Ebano, Eclair De Lune, Elviro, Estejo and triple German champion filly/mare Elle Danzig, dam of Elle Shadow.

An Oasis Dream-Enora foal would be bred on a similar cross to Prix du Moulin winner Aqlaam, who is a son of Oasis Dream and is out of a mare by Rainbow Quest – like Noverre, a Blushing Groom-line sire.

Enrica is also travelling to Juddmonte’s BansteadManor Stud, to be covered by Dansili. She is in foal to Rail Link.
