Sixties Icon stud fee increased for 2013

FIRST-SEASON sire revelation Sixties Icon has had his 2013 fee at Norman Court Stud in Wiltshire increased to £8,500 from £4,500 this year.

The first crop of St Leger winner Sixties Icon has yielded nine winners including Chilworth Icon at Group 3 level.

Sixties Icon will stand alongside Winker Watson, whose fee next year is £2,500.

Norman Court Stud’s Tania Trant said: “Because we have received so much interest in Sixties Icon, we thought it only fair to let breeders know as soon as possible what he would be standing for in 2013.

“We have set what we think is a very competitive price and he still rates as the best value sire by Galileo standing in the UK.

“We are also very much looking forward to Winker Watson’s first runners next season and his yearlings are looking early athletic types, just like their sire.”
