Whoops A Daisy makes no mistake for breeders

NICKY Henderson had double reason to celebrate the Bangor Novices' Hurdle victory of Whoops A Daisy - he is the five-year-old mare's joint breeder as well as her trainer.

Henderson bred her jointly with Sally Aston of Goldford Stud, whose husband Richard bought the €62,000 top lot, a daughter of King's Theatre, at Tattersalls Ireland this week.

By Definite Article, whose best progeny include Vinnie Roe, Whoops A Daisy is out of a half-sister to Triumph Hurdle winner Paddy's Return.
