Son of Giant's Causeway to Buck Pond Farm

NIAGARA Causeway, a Grade 3-winning son of Giant's Causeway, has been retired to stand at Doug Arnold's BuckPond Farm in Kentucky at a fee of $3,500 this season.

Last season, Niagara Causeway set a track record over 1m4f at Santa Anita when capturing the Grade 3 Tokyo City Handicap. He also ran second in the Grade 3 Cinema Breeders' Cup Handicap on turf and retires with earnings of $255,567.

Although bred in Kentucky, Niagara Causeway was offered at the 2004 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, where he was knocked down to La Bahia Stud for 130,000gns.

The impeccably bred six-year-old is the first foal out of Theoretically, a daughter of Theatrical who landed the Group 3 C L Weld Park Stakes before running second in the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks. It is also the family of Group 1 Prix Lupin winner Cudas and the top-class miler Atticus
