Newsells Park unveils £10,000 Golden Bonus

NEWSELLS Park Stud has come up with an unusual sweetener to entice buyers to its consignments at this year's yearling sales.

This week it sent potential purchasers across Europe a unique bar of Newsells' chocolate, in which they may have found a golden ticket, which, if they go on to buy one of the stud's yearlings, will make themeligible to win a £10,000 bonus.

The incentive is in addition to Newsells' support of the Racing Post Yearling Bonus.

Julian Dollar, general manager of Newsells Park Stud, explained:"Unlike Willy Wonka, Newsells is not giving away the keys to the proverbial factory, but the stud does appreciate the difficult economic times and is keen to give something back to its valued clients.

"As the Jacobs family name is synonymous with chocolate, what better way to promote the Golden Bonus than with a golden ticket in a chocolate bar?"

Golden ticket recipients will be encouraged to register their interest in the Golden Bonus when viewing Newsells yearlings at the Arqana August yearling sale in Deauville, the DBS St Leger sale and Tattersalls October Books 1 and 2.

If they purchase a Newsells yearling they will be entered in the prize draw to win an extra £10,000, should the yearling they purchase win a race already eligible for the Racing Post Yearling Bonus, or a Class B race in France.

A limited supply of golden tickets will be available at each sale for potential buyers who have not received one, have lost their original, or already submitted it at a previous sale, provided they register their interest with Newsells when they view each consignment.

This year, Newsells Park's yearling draft includes 14 horses out of Group winners, five out of Group/Grade 1 scorers, as well as 11 siblings to Group winners.
